Jennifer Lopez is officially in her “cool mom” era, and she’s bringing the whole family along for the ride.
The “Jenny From the Block” singer, , turned the New York City premiere of her new film, Kiss of the Spider Woman, into a star-studded family reunion on Monday, October . While J.Lo is known for commanding the spotlight, it was her -year-old twins, Max and Emme, who sent social media into a frenzy with a rare red carpet appearance.
The trio looked picture-perfect as they posed for photographers. Lopez, ever the fashion icon, stunned in a green, off-the-shoulder floral Harris Reed gown that featured a dramatic, spider-like structure around her head and waist.
Standing by her side, Emme showed off their unique style in a red velvet suit jacket paired with a black satin shirt. Not to be outdone, Max coordinated with his twin in a sophisticated brown, navy, and beige jacket layered over a crimson sweater vest.
Fans on X (formerly Twitter) and TikTok couldn’t get over how much the twins have grown, with many pointing out the striking resemblance to their father, Marc Anthony. “Max and Emme are literally mini-versions of their parents! Where did the time go?” one fan commented.
But the family vibes didn’t stop with the kids. The premiere also marked a headline-grabbing reunion for Lopez and her ex-husband, Ben Affleck.
Despite finalizing their divorce in February, the former couple—often dubbed “Bennifer”—proved they are on great terms. Affleck, , looked sharp in a classic blue suit as he laughed and chatted with Lopez on the carpet. The friendly interaction makes sense given their professional ties; Lopez stars in the film, while Affleck’s production company, Artists Equity, produced the project.
Behind the glam, however, J.Lo is dealing with some big “mom” emotions. Earlier that day, she stopped by Live With Kelly and Mark, where she got candid about the twins preparing to head off to college.
“It’s crazy. We’re visiting colleges today, between doing this [press] and the premiere,” she told hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos. “It’s happening—they’re leaving, they’re going and it’s crazy.”
Lopez admitted that while she’s thrilled for their next chapter, the thought of an empty nest is a bit daunting. “I’m happy because I feel like I remember how exciting that time in my life was,” she shared. “But I also think, like, ‘Oh! I’m going to be by myself.'”
Through all the Hollywood height and high-profile breakups, Lopez emphasized that her bond with her children remains her anchor.
“I feel like we’re close,” she noted. “We’re a close-knit three now. A lot has happened with us… That kind of changed things and made it really beautiful for us.”
As Max and Emme prepare to fly the coop, J.Lo is focused on ensuring they always have a place to land. “Whatever this is, whatever we create, the three of us together… it feels like home, it tastes like home,” she said.
