Gal Gadot isn’t ready to hang up her royal robes just yet!

While the live-action remake of Snow White faced a rocky road at the box office, the Wonder Woman star is making it very clear that she’s obsessed with her villainous side.

While being honored at the Women’s Guild Cedars-Sinai Snow Ball Gala, Gadot, , opened up about the possibility of the Evil Queen getting her own standalone moment in the spotlight. When asked if she’d return for a spinoff, her answer was a resounding yes.

“I would love to do that. Yes,” she told Us Weekly with a smile. She even took the opportunity to send a cheeky message to the head of the Mouse House himself. “Tell [Disney CEO] Bob [Iger]. Bob, I’ll do that.”

The viral buzz comes at a complicated time for the Disney franchise. Despite the star power of Gadot and Rachel Zegler, who played the titular princess, the film struggled to find its footing.

Grossing roughly $. million against a massive budget estimated between $–$ million, Snow White joined the ranks of Dumbo, Mulan, and The Little Mermaid as live-action remakes that failed to break even.

Social media has been a battlefield since the film’s inception. Much of the online chatter centered on Zegler, whose candid press tour comments sparked a wave of TikTok debates and X (formerly Twitter) threads.

Zegler famously critiqued the original, calling it “outdated” and noting it was “weird” that the prince “literally stalks” Snow White. The drama escalated further when Zegler’s social media posts regarding her political views led to boycott calls.

The tension reportedly even seeped into the production team. Allegedly, producer Marc Platt asked Zegler to remove certain posts, a request she declined. This led to a now-deleted Instagram post from his son, Jonah Platt, who accused Zegler of “hijacking” the film and being “selfish” toward the crew’s hard work.

Despite the headlines, Gadot is standing by the project and her co-star. She notes that the film’s performance wasn’t down to just one person or one controversy.

“The film didn’t fail solely because of external pressures,” Gadot explained. “There are many factors that determine why a film succeeds or fails, and success is never guaranteed.”

While Disney hasn’t officially greenlit an Evil Queen origin story, fans on Instagram are already dreaming of a Maleficent-style deep dive into the villain’s backstory.

For now, there are no concrete plans for a spinoff—but with Gadot’s enthusiasm and a direct plea to Bob Iger, the Magic Mirror might just have more stories to tell.

Would you like me to keep an eye on any official Disney casting calls or production updates for future live-action projects?
